ooVoo. No really, that is a company name.

Everyone wants to chat, conference, instant message, and communicate.

ooVoo is an online video chat/conferencing platform that allows you have up to six people communicating for free. It has options for free calls to mobile or land phone from the net, recording of the video, options on your desktop, file sending, and several other nifty features.

Mobile Video BloggingIf you are working with a client or team virtually, ooVoo is an effective and affordable way for a professional to have another layer of communication (all you need is a webcam)

I have used the platform for a few calls, and I find it to be incredibly easy to use and adds a personal touch to my communication with clients and community members.

Without too much thought, there are plenty of applications this could be used for:

  • Team Meetings
  • Client Updates
  • Customer Service
  • Tutorials
  • Friends and Family

All of the above options tie into a social media perspective for small business, which makes this tool get five stars in my book.
